Tayzies is a café that feels firmly rooted in Mullumbimby’s lush, laid-back vibe. Tucked inside a flourishing nursery on Coolamon Scenic Drive, it blends natural greenery with a casual, garden-inspired setting where tables sit amid vibrant plants and dappled sunlight. This outdoor atmosphere offers a quiet, reflective spot to linger, especially on bright mornings or calm afternoons when the light weaves through leaves and creates a soft, calming ambiance.

The café appeals to those who appreciate a relaxed breakfast or brunch experience centered around fresh, thoughtfully prepared food and strong coffee. Locals and visitors seem to appreciate that you can enjoy classics like eggs benedict or shareable market plates featuring quality ingredients — with add-ons like miso mushrooms that elevate usual café fare. The menu’s iced drinks and smoothies add a refreshing touch, hinting at how Tayzies suits warm days when a cool beverage pairs well with the relaxed pace.

It’s the kind of place that rewards a slower visit, where you can soak up the quiet beauty of the surrounding nursery while enjoying a well-made coffee, whether it’s a straightforward iced long black or a more indulgent affogato. The staff manage a balance between friendly service and subtle attentiveness, matching the informal but carefully curated atmosphere.

Given its setting and pace, Tayzies fits those who want to combine a love of gardens and fresh food in one outing. It’s a popular stop for weekend brunch enthusiasts and anyone who likes their café visit to include a side of greenery and calm. Parking and the unassuming entrance can catch visitors off guard, but once inside, the natural light, the gentle hum of conversation, and the quality of the food and drinks make it clear why people make the 40-minute trip from neighboring areas.

So good!!! Just made it in time before kitchen closed @12:30pm. These photos are halfway through our meal because we couldn’t wait to dig in! Had the market plate. Highly recommend. Easy to share, added an extra egg. Absolutely Delicious.

Tayzies Cafe is a hidden gem nestled within a charming nursery, offering a unique dining experience that combines the best of nature and culinary delight. The ambiance is nothing short of magical, with tables scattered among lush greenery and vibrant plants. The sunlight filters through the leaves, creating a beautiful dance of light and shadows that enhances the serene atmosphere. The Eggs Benedict were decent, with perfectly poached eggs and a hollandaise sauce that was just right. The coffee, too, was satisfying—nothing extraordinary, but nice and comforting. Both were reasonably priced, making the experience even more enjoyable. Tayzies Cafe is definitely worth a visit, not just for the food and drink but for the overall vibe. The combination of good food, pleasant service, and the enchanting setting makes it a standout spot for a relaxing meal amidst nature.

A true hidden gem This place completely stole our hearts. We tried the pea fritters and eggs benedict, paired with coffee, and everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully done. The coffee was spot on too. What makes this place extra special is the setting — cozy, aesthetic garden vibes that feel calm and welcoming. It’s a perfect spot for garden lovers to wander around, soak in the greenery, and enjoy a peaceful meal. A lovely blend of great food, good coffee, and a charming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Great cafe, lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Their range of 'add ons' is the best I have seen and the miso mushrooms are a must if you visit. This is now on a very select list of our favourite breakfast places and we travel 40mins to get here. Definitely give it a try and don't let the unassuming front entrance/ car park dissuade you. The only thing that would make it even more perfect would be a wider range of sweet treats (like a made-on-site blueberry muffin etc)
